Our People and Associates

 

On Maria Noone | Maria is the owner of The Koru Effect, but prefers the nuts and bolts of being the principal trainer and coach where the strength of her conviction is to guide others in discovering choices for positive change. Since 1995 Maria has thrived working in leadership or training and development positions in customer facing environments; specifically having lead contact centres of 70+ staff, learning and coaching teams, been in a national trainer role, group management and other people development positions. She's had experience in the implementation of staff development and employee engagement programmes; and coaching programme development and implementation. She's worked within the freight and travel industries, and local government sector. Maria has either lead or contributed to award winning or finalist contact centres since 2001; and has been a registered Workplace Assessor. 

Keeping in check - Maria believes it's important to ensure the wellbeing of both clients and her when working together. Upholding her own values and the standards of wider communities, she actively belongs to associations and groups that support ongoing learning, knowledge and standards such as:

  • The NZ Association of Training and Development (NZATD)
  • The NZ Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming (NZANLP)
  • International Coach Federation - Australasia (ICF)

Tools of the trade - Maria uses a variety of tools and pulls on years of experience in the field of people development. She has experience and certificates in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, Eriksonian Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching and Massage. And, has been meditating for over six years.

She is an internationally certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and a trainer of NLP. Since studying NLP, Maria has realised the enormous benefits NLP can offer people in realizing the abundant choices in their lives and that it is within them to create many of the results they desire.

When working with people, Maria uses varied techniques to help them reach their goals, overcoming challenging obstacles and realizing potential. Her passion is in guiding others to notice the choices in their lives, and to live each day with purpose.  For organisations, Maria consults, supports and guides them with people development initiatives that ultimately engages staff with ongoing growth and capability.
